Lately, I’ve been thinking about shadow, not as darkness, but as dimension.
We design the bones of a space. But it’s light, how it filters, bends, and settles that gives a room its emotional weight.
This week’s selection is a study in contrast. Structure and softness. Stillness and movement. These are not just references they’re quiet ideas shaping how I want our future spaces to feel at Studio Lunarey.
Layered. Textural. Alive.
1.Chora Tiles
by Myrsini Alexandridi
Underwater, these tiles transform.
The hand-painted enamel catches light and fractures it into shifting shadows. What feels graphic above the surface becomes atmospheric below.
It’s a reminder that design should respond to light, to time of day, to movement. A space should never feel static.

2. Zebra Switch
by Kirill Masyagin of Rosetta Ceramica
I’ve always believed design lives in the details you touch every day. This switch takes something ordinary and makes it unforgettable. The hand-painted stripes feel bold, graphic, playful but also intentional.
It’s proof that even a light switch can carry personality. Even the smallest moment in a home can hold artistry.

3. Tile with Cascade 2021
by Nicole McLaughlin
This one stopped me.
The rigid ceramic. The soft fringe. Structure meeting movement.
There’s something emotional about that contrast. It makes me think about how we can soften architecture, how walls don’t always have to feel hard and flat. What if they could move? What if they could feel tactile and layered?

4. Satellite Lamp
by Dirk Vander Kooij
This lamp feels like light frozen mid-motion.
The spiral shape lifts upward with energy, while the 3D-printed texture gives it weight and presence. It’s sculptural. Almost hypnotic.
It doesn’t just illuminate a room, it creates atmosphere.

5. The Rody Dining Chair
by YJ Interiors
The grounding detail on the feet is everything.
That subtle brass touch against the walnut anchors the entire piece. It’s quiet, but powerful
It reminds me that elegance isn’t loud. It lives at the point of contact where material meets material, where design meets gravity.

Let’s Stay in Touch!
We believe a space should never feel entirely “new.” It needs layers that record the rhythm of your life.
Hope this brings a little inspiration to your Sunday!
